I bring to your viewing pleasure Onslaught v5!!!Salot is also working on a way to work this out aswell, mine is just simpler. Here is the offical approval of SaLot pin.

most noticable change is that you may go under the bases. This can be done by walking threw the front, or you may drop down from one of the sides on the bases.

only problem is I had to get the bridges from center middle. So I replaced them with fence walls, I doubt many people will be using thme to shoot threw. Since if you are chilling bottom middle and you have enough time to shoot someone under at thier feet with about 1 bullet hitting them, youll probly get team BRed.
I think that the changes to the bases will not completely alter games but make them more indepth.

I must say that this is an improvement. I like the ability to use the bottom of the bases, should work well.

I didnt want 100% midship feel, so I left alot of things. But it does seem more midhsip-ish if thats a word.

from teh pictures i can tell the bases would work much better just from what i see. second i would really like to see something else done with top mid. Send me an invite tonight, ill show you what i have in mind=]

It makes flag running bottom mid almost pointless. you can now get shot at through the fence "ceiling/floor" at top mid. if you could possibly find something else to use or perhaps set shield doors right on top of them preventing shooting through?

shield doors are guy IMO, but still, putting them on top of the fencing prevents shooting through and thats it.

Below the bases will just cause some massive spawn traps. Needs another way out.

Also, top mid shouldn't be close enough to jump on from the bases. just bring the extra fence walls closer in and intertwine then, or take out the bridge in the middle. Two fence walls should be good enough.

And, no way to jump in the bases from the front. Onslaught was good with the dumpster in the front.

This thing is just looking more and more like midship and i love it...sometimes idk its an ok map but this will make it better.

If someone standing top middle is shooting through the fence at your flag carrier, then MLG is not for you.

I really like the changes to it, but I would change up a couple of things. I would either create a second entrance/exit to the bottom of the bases near the stairs, or you could create a way to get back up to the top of the base from the bottom as an alternative entrance/exit. You could put 1 or 2 bridges that come up at the holes you created to drop down. That would probably a little crammed, but it would eliminate spawn traps from down there or falling down and coming out the front getting team BR'ed. If you really wanted to make it like Midship, you could put a grav. lift/mancannon all the way to one side, so you could have the same Midship top to bottom transition. Obviously, you could decide which method you want to do, but I can potentially see a lot of issues with only one exit/entrance.

For the center structure, I would leave the mauler down below because the higher ground of top mid is powerful enough, and bottom mid is powerless without the mauler. I would also make the bridge two bridges across (if you have the resources), and if you don't have enough bridges, you could make it two fence walls wide or one wall across (just a thought if its texture doesn't affect gameplay).

This is a start.

you just made the map even more busy, which leads to more machine lag on the 360. and the fence walls is so stupid. I have a midshipesque map made if anyone wants to play it. it is in jckapono's fileshare. anyway, onslaught sucks as is and these "improvements" make it suck more

idk if its good that u can jump from base to base with the way top mid is now and on red base one of the new ramps u added to the front is a lil off n should be more flat and idk i dont think it would be used this way but im not mlg so idk

I would say that it needs Crates or something to get up to the two bases without using the stairs... Like the original. Possibly crates in front of the signs? I really like it.

Looks good in the pictures, gonna download it.

Although the guy a few posts up was a complete ass, he does have a point about the Foundry maps getting processor hungry when they are too busy on the 360.

Nevertheless, the pics look great and I look forward to testing it out later.

IMO doesnt look to good. This map is being over complicated and the original onslaught is just. There was no call for top mid needing to be expanded and the bases look cool but they are unessacary and just make flag running much more difficult and annoying.

Ons is a great map regardless of what happens to it!! But I like the idea of getting to go under the bases. Thats everyones favorite.:)

I saw it somewhere and I acted on it. Thank you all for the great feedback, spawntrapping under the base isnt likely since there are 6 spawns in eachone so its very limited. Getting in there is a risk you will be taking.

You put a box a few feet in the air, then make it so that it will not respawn at the beginning. Then before it respawns put an object in the area where it will respawn, and the first object will push the other object into the map... I kinda sucked explaining that...

This looks alot better than v4 , I was waiting for someone to alter Onslaught a little , Top Mid looks like it would be more of a power postion now just because of the fact that you can go behind the open boxes.

This is a remake of onslaught to for fill the needs of some community feedback...

This has no official tag on it. This is the community trying to make a map better then what it is or at least try..

While I'm all for making improvements to Onslaught, I won't being getting excited because this is not the MLG Onslaught. Therefore it will never be played by the vast community unless KC validates it.

I think you should keep the doors on the top mid platform, like salot did in his other version. it provides more cover and makes top mid more usable.

The spawns on Onslaught are already kind of bad, and adding a second layer to the bases probably wouldn't help much. :/
