Hey, just some quick info....I played WoW for about three years after its release and have been playing halo from after that till now.

I have been looking over the MLG rules and I dont know about the no add-ons rule....

I played a warlock and a shaman extensively, and personally, I cannot imagine playing or even just PvPing without some addons. I understand the time issues that would happen if players were allowed to use them, but what effects do you see this coming from this?

There are add-ons which make combat ever so convenient, I do understand where you're coming from. Playing mostly in PvE myself, some add-ons are priceless and almost necessary in order to perform well.

But, Macros are still enabled, and I believe that the main WoW interface has evolved a lot every update, and when it comes down to PvP, you can still perform well without them. The majority of add-ons out are directed towards PvE anyways.

Add-on are not really required with PvP, sicne just about everything is still hotkey'd anyway.

The only mod I can think of is a Swing timer for warriors.

I'd say targets cast bar, but IIRC the default has one anyway

There are no add-ons allowed.

A lot of the top teams have been playing without add-ons for the past year, since wow lan started. They succeed without them, it's really a crutch because awareness is a skill factor in wow as well.

you don't need add-ons. I never used add-ons but macros are a different thing. I definately used macros but add-ons aren't a key part ot the game like macros are.
