mlg wants 2 use blackout for orlando.... but... because of how bad spawns r ****ed up i doubt well c it at any of the events... but i give it a 40% chance at being at orlando if its not there they wont put it on the circuit unless they make a ground breaking discovry and somehow fix the spawns... but thats unlikely

yea kronic smoke is 1 of my good friends for halo(i play rb6v2) and i bought the legendary MP when it came out and played it with him like 2 weeks l8r and he was talking bout how he has seen vids of ppl spawning in other ppls setups in oddball and ****... and ive played swat on blackout like 10 x and ive been spawn killed like 30 times when i die from ppls random bullets ive gotten tripple kills from **** like that were 1-2 ppl will spawn right next 2 the person im shooting so im not comlaining lol

yea i have only gotten Blackout twice in the MLG playlist and i was on S 2 with the ball and i had one guy with me and he told me that 3 of them spawned at elbow and they charged the base and killed us it was messed up. Blackout can be a fun map for MLG if the spawns work out which they usually dont

There is two foundry maps on the circuit already? You think the bad spawns are gonna stop another map?

No, its not slated to go on the Circuit anytime soon. So, you can keep dreaming I guess, but it won't happen.

BO spawns are not bad you strats are I already took time out to explain it but you ****ing bnet kids were busy bickering about the Best or Worse Gamertag which should have been in OffTopic anyways.

My problem with the map stems far beyond Spawn problems. I don't like the extra geometry that makes nading pointless, I don't like the questionable lines of sight. Spawns are fubar in H3, but that is not the main reason some maps suck. Except for High Ground. That map sucks because of the Spawn System.

extra geometry is on every map, even hte pit and ground in green on guardian. The lines of sight are worse on The Pit oyu got a huge wall blocking you, and Guardian is all in the open. Atleast with BO you have cover. I would say spawning on this map is the best when you learn to curve them. But people dont bother learning and throw it in the trash bin:banghead: BO is my favorite map.

blackout,onslaught,and amplified need 2 go from mlg they are not good for mlg they are good for customs when u are messing around with randum 4's but not mlg the only foundry map i like is Lockdown by Nexn and Kronic Smoke i dont know whyh it is not mlg it plays amazing for all 4 gametypes its like halo 2's midship the pit and lockdown are my favorite halo 2 maps

There is worse geometry over area on BO than on any other map. And The Pit has excellent LOS, but BO has sub par IMO.

I think blackout needs some changing regarding power weapons/powerups. People complained about aspects of it in halo 2 where everyone would just stay in one spot, and now everyone seems to want to keep it that way. Maybe adding another important power weapon or power-up could help it? Basically I think the map could be vastly upgraded with forge beyond just making it more like lockout. Just a thought on blackout even if it had nothing to do with spawns.

and here is where it get confusing, the key to spawn traping on blackout it not spawn killing. I think every map rewards aggresive palyers to much, I think Bo like maps are the future of Halo 3, its far harder to hold a setup on that map because not only do you have to worry about not getting enough kills but you ahev to worry about getign to many kills aswell. Takes more thinks and instincts to play it.

i can see where that could be good, but with the lack of skill already needed in h3 to win a game, BO might just take it almost to far.

I'm sure they want the classic map that made halo 2 MLG what it was to be in. But the problem is the spawns. So I'm sure they're testing the spawns like crazy but unless they make a huge discovery then we won't see it.

I'm guessing you're a big fan of set-ups then, I would rather have some time of movement for something important on the map but whatever. One thing that I really thing needs changing is the size of BR3 which is un-nadeable at its current state.

I've seen you link to that thread about 5X's. Anyone can take a screenshot of the map and draw some circles on it in Paint. If I see some gameplay footage without lame spawns I'll reconsider the map.

Here's a PM I just sent to Master Dictator on the matter, I thought I'd copy/paste here as well for those who are unaware of why BO spawns suck.

I know how the spawn system works. If I was top BR and my whole team was at BR and I got an Overkill Killtacular on their whole team with the Sniper Rifle they'd probably spawn at Gravity lift because the Sniper Tower would be deemed unsafe to spawn because their whole team just died there.

However, lets just say I had 1 player on Gravity Lift, 1 player Top BR, 1 player Mid BR and 1 player in Library - This setup SHOULD let us triangulate their spawn to the Sniper Tower only since we have locked down 3/4 of the map.

Now, if I get my Overkill Killtacular on their team with the Sniper they're likely to spawn next to one of my team mates because of Halo 3's retarded spawn system. Instead of spawning AWAY from my team mates (Like the previous 2 Halo games) they're more likely to spawn WITH my team mates because Bungie are retarded.

This just encourages players NOT to get kills (Isn't that kind of stupid in an FPS?) because killing too many players at a certain location is likely to screw up their setup on the map.

I'm sure you'll agree that this is absolutely retarded.
