This is pretty exciting, according to his responses it makes things immovable as well, you can now merge dumpsters, crates, and more. This should be pretty pivotal for gameplay, all credit goes to Hoff for finding this. View how to do it here: CLICK (http://www.forgehub.com/forum/halo-forge-discussion/18848-breakthrough-geomerging-merge-movable-objects-map-geometry.html#post239972)

Here's some proof:

this is revolutionary. According to the tut on forgehub, it takes and incredible amount of time but this will open up even more options for competitive maps. i wonder if your able to interlock the geomrged movable objects.

This was an awesome discovery. Geomerging man-cannons or gravlifts could be awesome.

Woah. I was just about to post that here. Thanks for the credit Bnasty.

Unfortunately, no you can't interlock them.

Dont they have a seizure when you shoot/mess with them. This isn't even that new anyways, most of the experienced forgers know about it/how to do it.

Well why dont they use it then? I can see some possible use of merged crates, dumpsters, barrels, and wirespools although somewhere on fh someone said they glitch out.

What happens when you do?

Not as I said why I do not, I'm PRETTY sure that if you shoot them or touch them they glitch throuh.

No. They don't glitch through the ground if you shoot or touch them. Look at the Forgehub link for more pictures. It shows me running over a crate and standing on a wire spool.

YAY... now we can use grav lifts that are impossible to explode out in the open floor (kinda like a midship lift)... =)

Errrrrrrrrrrr, I'd hate to burst your bubble, but this does NOT work in an actual game. If you load up the example map in a real game none of the objects appear, not even the grav lift. Nonetheless, this idea can be useful for smoothing out objects geoed into the floor, and allows you to geo objects way lower than usual (they fall through the map completely if you go too far)

Exactly, unless you use them middle pipe lining.

Hmm, to the ****er who gave me a neutral box, learn to use the forums. You clearly don't understand that I don't think I'm better than everyone, but you basically do because you think you "found this out" even though anyone with half of a brain could. Ecko and I geo glitched movable objects, powerups, and each other but figured it was pointless because they differ in forge than in a custom game. Now learn the rep system.

Yes, it does. Sometimes it just takes awhile for the objects to load. Say 10, 20 seconds. Did you test that multiple times or just once?
