EGM Rumor Mill - "expect Bungie to reveal an all new Halo prequel"

Will reportedly chronicle the early skirmishes between the ODSTs and the Covenant. Its a third person shooter for release in holiday 09.

Ill be pissed if its TPS and the multiplayer is ***. Although I can find one positive through all this: If its a prequel, there's gonna be older guns in it. Quite possibly the pistol we've been longing for for years.

WOW! I feel stupid, if it's a TPS will it still be a shooter? TPS shooters don't flow right with me. I just don't like them

Gamespot said it will be a mix between Gears of War and GRAW.

Gears of War was as TPS and it is competitive.

So in theory, it should be the best Halo game to date, since the games have gotten worse as it has progressed through the storyline. However, if we take a step backwords in the story line, it could be just the opposite!

H1 - Good
H2 - Bad
H3 - Worst

....

I really hope somewhere along the line in development of this game they toss out the TPS idea and just stick with FPS. Then again this is Bungie and most decisions that they make we are stuck with forever, like the br spread and poor bullet registration among countless other things.
