Ok so I just got my Viewsonic TV today and the picture looks awesome. I got the vga cable to cut down on game lag and i went into a custom game and it looks and feels amazing.

The only problem, is I can't get any sound - I've messed around with the settings on the box and on the tv, and i can't get anything. Can someone please help me out.

Did you buy the Microsoft VGA cables? If not then you'll need a RCA to 3.5mm connector that'll go into the audio input jack found near the VGA port. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe thats the only way you can get sound through the VGA setting. If you don't know where to get one, buy it here. (http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=104&cp_id=10401&cs_id=1040107&p_id=2120&seq=1&format=2) If this is not the case, then make sure any settings on the monitor are configured correctly and that the left and right audio plugs aren't faulty.

I did buy the microsoft vga cables, and I've tried to do that, but it doesnt fit, the plug is too close to the vga plug and it doesnt work with the yjack.

You could always run the sound cables into a receiver and pipe your sound through that...??

You need to get a y splitter that isnt a little stub. You need one that is a single plug with longer wires coming out of it. Sadly the only way thats made is male to male, (prongs on both sides) so you will have to buy couplers (adaptors)
