Warcraft

Sorry for the long wait guys. But here it is, Warcraft. Hope you guys like it and give it a try. If you do not like the map, do reply telling why. Hope you guys like.

This map is a full foundry symmetrical map I have made in the past few days from scratch with a few ideas in mind. This map supports MLG TS, KoTh, and my own variations of CTF and Ball.. The best gametypes that I have played this map with were Team Slayer and Ball.

Gametype Differences:
Ball-Two Balls spawn instead of one. Found this really fun and competitive for 4v4's on this map.
CTF-....Same as Narrows.

Weapons/equipment:
5 Carbines-30 sec.
8 Br's-10sec.
Mauler(Drop spawn)-120 sec.
8 Frags-10 sec.
8 Plasma's-30 sec.

I have tested this map only on Lan 4v4, 2v2 with friends and family that like to play MLG Customs and we liked it a lot. Hope you guys like it.

I wud suggest turning boxes upside down,
it creates a much smoother surface

The way I have geo-merged the boxes together felt much smoother than putting it upside down except for the side bases but the nades aren't being effected by it, and I think it looks better this way.

yes ou should flip the boxes, but i really like the concept of your mid, the one on your map is kind of basic but the shape and cover is interesting. i might use something a little like it but of course i would add some crazy geos in it. overall good map

Looks good. I'm especially liking the bases. You aren't totally vulnerable when you spawn (assuming you spawn behind the boxes that go around the center of the bases, which you should if you don't), but I definitely think you killed it when you included the back part of Foundry. Just remove it it and see how you like it; I'm betting everyone would like it better. Upside-down boxes are my personal preference, but as long as they don't mess up nades I'll get over it.

When I refer to bases, I mean the side-bases like where the Onslaught bases are, just in case that got confusing, because I don't like the back-Foundry bases. I think making the side-bases larger rings would help too.

it creates a much smoother surfacei've determined that the metal thing is not actually a bump, but rather the actual top of the box. the green part is not actually lower, it's one flat surface. however, the corners of the boxes are definitely rounded. this means if you merge boxes metal side up, the platform you make will be a lot smaller than if it's square side up, but not much else actually.

try dropping a door on top of it and you'll see if it floats flush with the metal part.

I meant that I feel that maps look a lot cleaner with the boxes upside down

Updates

I'll be trying to do as many fixes(if any) to the map as I can with the few minutes with of doing so before my XBox freezes. I'll be posting a walkthrough of the map soon and if anyone wants to post some of their gameplay on this map please do.

Update 1: I won't be making one with the back part removed. Mainly because my XBox keeps on freezing and won't let me play any games.

Question: Did the title change or does it still say "Warcraft*Sneek Preview*"? On the forge forum it still says that but when I clicked on it, the title changes to what I wanted it to.

I like the balance of open and closed, its not to open and not to closed up. Great job im deffently going to run games on it later on tonight at my friends

It looks pretty solid IMO,
i would agree with flipping the boxes over, but its your call.

hey, i just pm'ed you back, but i decided to check the thread as well.
yea, i'll probably have time tomorrow night, and i'll run a few games on it and try to get it up on gamevee for you
