Map Names

i made this thread to help the community with naming maps.recently ive seen maps like MLG Bridges, MLG CannonMan, and MLG Ramps (or something like that). To be honest thats not something i would click on to look at. it sounds too boring. i would definately click on names like Phylum, Zenith, Regicide, ect. It just has that (insert weird word to describe map name) to it.:)

So in this thread please post any cool map names that you have to donate to the communitay, also if you can
get the descirption of the word that helps.here are some i came up with
Exuviate- to cast off by natural process
Venerate- to regard with great awe and devotion
Neurosis- feeling of anxiety

some names will sound cool to forgers, but will make no sense. just pay attention to that. and regarding this thread; please keep out drama and flaming, the 2 things that consume forge forums like a obese man and his beloved cheeseburger.....

And if you are going to use one of the names in this thread, LET US KNOW! this will cause problems if you dont.

Honestly there's no point in making a "good" name unless your map is fully polished or you've been asked by Killa KC for it to be used for MLG play.

im not too sure i like these map names that sound as though they have just been plucked out of a thesuras i like it to relate more to the map itself a bit more my sirst map was all about grenade placement and stuff so that ended up getting called LemoNADE and the second version was called L v2The emoNADE i just thought it had more character thats just my opinion though i dont really take the name into consideration i prefer to test out the map and give feedback from my experiences :) just my 2 cents

Unique/cool-sounding names are intriguing, but I kind of agree with Hunter to a certain extent. If it's too random and a word you've never even heard before, it does seem like someone just opened a thesaurus and pointed at something and just ran with it.

For my map I just went with a fairly basic straight forward name but it totally works. ('Hangar' is actually textured onto the walls of Rat's Nest for those that don't know, so it makes perfect sense)
