So I just finished making my first foundry creation. It's an MLG style symmetrical map that was designed for the 3 main gametypes (TS, CTF, KotH) however you can play all gametypes on the map. The map is a bit different than most in the regards that its build in a "U" shape like sidewinder (Somewhat...maybe an exaggeration.)

Although this is a Foundry map, it plays much larger than maps such as Onslaught.

Since this is my first forge creation There are some places that aren't as "pretty" as I would like them to be, but I'm not very skilled at it. I have yet to have any play testing (besides some basic 2v2's to make sure the Objectives work and all the items in the map are spawning correctly) so I don't know for sure how the spawn system will work. I'd like to get some people interested in running 4's on the map. I'll be in class until 2:30 PST but I intend to get on and test it as much as possible.

Basic Descriptions: (My call outs in the parenthesis)

2 Bases, 3 levels. (A1, A2, A3, B1, B2, B3)
2 Side-Bases (Mini A, Mini B)
1 Large tower - 3 Levels (Tower 1, Tower 2, Tower 3)
1 Center Complex - 2 Levels + Stairs (Main 1, Main 2, Stairs)
1 Ball Spot (Street)
2 Corner Pieces (A Corner, B Corner)
1 Suspended Platform (Rockets)


From the start of creation I always intended to have a power up/power weapon on the map. Overshield I felt would be too powerful and Camo could work but I just didn't see it fitting. What I ended up doing was placing a Rocket up on the suspended platform. The only way up there is through a teleporter. There is no cover at the Rocket spawn making it very vulnerable. The rockets also only have 2 shots. I plan to play around with this to see if it works or not. I am curious about a sniper. I think a sniper could potentially work on my map, but I'm not totally sure.

The Flag is located between the Main tower and the Mini-base. In the video I stop and look at the spot for a while.

The Ball is located in the main street below Rockets, and near Center Structure.

The 3 Hills are located at the main street (Ball location) and the 2 mini-bases. I pause and look at each in the video.

Edit: I'm really dumb because you have a fly through. Well, I bet people would still like pictures?

Yea it took a couple days to upload. Ill go ahead and try and get some pictures up. But what did you think of what you saw?

It wasn't onslaught. It looks like gameplay had some thought into it. Map was relatively cleanly forged. Something new.

From what I saw in the walkthrough it looked pretty good. You had a few things that have become a bad idea in competitive map forging such as having bridges right side up. You should flip them over to ensure a flat surface. It looked like the bridges in the middle had a lip at the top...maybe interlock them a little more cleanly. Just a few freshening up things. Overall design is a little too open in my opinion. The tops of the sides will become overpowered.
