This (http://www.mlgpro.com/forum/showthread.php?t=204292) is the map JD x JD began, but since he has stopped Forging to practice in Customs, I finished it to the best of my ability. This is my first map that I put time into and tried learning how to geo-glitch and interlock better. It is based off of Ivory Tower from Halo 2 with a similar Rocket spawn point, but different Sniper spawn point.

Here are the items:
4 BRs
2 Carbines
1 Sniper Rifle- 1 spare clip
1 Rocket Launcher- 0 spare clips
1 Mauler- 0 spare clips
4 Frags
4 Plasmas
1 Custom Powerup
33 spawn points.
3 Respawn areas.

In v1.1, the bump at the bottom is removed.Other team's spawns. The team that spawns at the ramp has a safer way to the top, but the team on the other side can have a faster way if the jumps are performed correctly.

Overview of the middle. Rockets spawn in the middle "tunnel" and Sniper spawns at the door just below the camera.

Overshield tunnel. There is a room on both sides of the tunnel.

The back of the map, where the elevator was in Halo 2. The Overshield is to the right down the tunnel from the B sign. Use the crates to get to the 2nd level, then use the door for the 3rd.

One of the ramps leading to the 3rd floor, where Sniper spawns in Halo 2. In this map, the Sniper is opposite of it's original spawn, since the 3rd floor is such a power position and the weapon gives a reason to move around the map. Thanks to JD for that one, I originally had the sniper at the Halo 2 spawn.

Currently, it is only set up for MLG TS. I hope to get KoTH and Ball set up on here as well.

*** If you notice any wrong weapon times, objects not spawning on start, or anything that should be fixed, let me know ASAP. I also have not tested spawns, so add Brian Edge if you'd like to help test.


I hope everyone enjoys it. I learned a lot while working on it and I hope to actually do one of my own maps in the future, or just finish other people's :P

v1.1 has:
-Extra spawn points
- 2 Spawn areas at the back to help with safer spawns
- Smoother areas with less bumps... hopefully.

EDIT: ok i just played a 4v4 the other team didnt like it... but they did loose, i like it when you set up according to halo 2. saying that i think OS needs to be moved to the halo 2 spot and mauler to where OS currently is.
and the map clearly needs to be rebuild its bumpy and messy

hope this feed back helps it has potential

Definitely DL'ing and trying this out later. Looks very well put together. Props to JD and to you for taking the time to finish his work.

Thanks for trying it out. Were the bumps damaging the gameplay a lot? I'll try to go back and straighten stuff out... if I can. I'll hopefully be able to run customs and work on it the rest of this week about 10-11 hours every day. The joys of being a senior with 2 classes a day :D

I'll try to get some games with the items it has now, then I'll change things up a bit and test some more. How were the spawns, by the way?

i wasnt looking to much at the spawns but i did hear someone on my team say they got spwn killed

looks good, to be honest i'd love to see some sword in halo 3 MLG, haha. I miss it.

i wish you could add textures in forge, cos then all these insane foundry maps would look legen.....wait for it....dary

Thanks guys. I'm currently working on trying to fix some of the bumps. I fixed the bump at the bottom of the ramp, over near the door at one of the starting spawns, and I'm working on a bump near the Sniper. I want to try to fix the bump on the top level near the sign, right when the wall meets the box. I'd really like to fix the bump at the Top Carbine(hmm, call out maybe?) where the ramp goes down to the 2nd floor, because when you try to walk down, you bounce and jump over the ramp. I'm not sure if it's a serious problem, but it's annoying the hell out of me and I don't know how to fix it.

I also added a few extra spawns towards the back area, hopefully fixing any spawn problems. I don't know the spawn system though, so we'll see. I'll try to get some more games on it tonight and update later with the new version. Add Brian Edge if you'd like to help me test or for customs later.

I also tested this map today (TS) and the gameplay was great, just like the old Ivory Tower. The map is still a little sketchy and needs to be smoothed out a little bit, but other than the little kinks, it's a great map. (Maybe you should add some small barriers up top for some cover though)

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it :D

I don't think I have any money left over, maybe $2 at the most. I plan on interlocking the two crates at the back into the boxes, so theres only a small jump up left and maybe I can get rid of the two weapon holders for extra money. I want to move the door to a vertical position too, so the back hall won't feel as cramped. Also, someone mentioned the top hall, near the fan, was a bit tight- I'll try to see if I can find a way to widen the area a little. Hopefully, I'll be able to get some more money and add some cover up top. Maybe some columns? I'm gonna tweak the spawns some more, I noticed a few people kept spawning in the same areas.
