View Full Version : Sketchup - Show Down - Chilly Inspired

OK guys im hoping this one has some thought into it considering I've been drawing up everything i can in my notebook the past two weeks. This map is chillout inspired. After going over alto of Pro VoD, playing 1v1 recently in Chill out multiple times and viewing several overhead views, I've have come to a rough design of the design you see before you.

This map is symmetrical, and will have 1 OS and 1 Sniper. It consists of two large atriums with two smaller sides flanking them. Its 4 levels, but i think the two walkways on the fourth level are just low enough that the top barrier may not be hit. This design is up for adoption, and since i have wayyyy over used my double walls, there is enough parts of it left so that one can be imaginative as how to build it.

Last thing before i hit the pics, is this. This sketch-up is not how you should actually build it. Its just a layout for how i want the general map flow to go. The design is not set in stone. Also i would like some feedback on what everyone thinks :)

Looks like a very good design. You could always use single walls instead of double walls for some of that stuff.. In any case, great job on the sketchup. I think YOU should build it though, trust me it's worth the effort.

You should make a post on the sketchup database/discussion thread.If I were looking to adopt a map, that's where I would go.

On the first pic, the very top openings, are those the only ways to get to the other sides of the map ?

This looks very well designed. Hopefully someone picks it up as it looks to be a great 1v1 or 2v2 map. Good job.

btw, i only count 3 levels. Maybe i'm blind.

He meant that he would begin working on it in a week, not that he would complete it in 1 week.

I could build this in a week, I'd have no life for that week but it wouldn't be hard.

After viewing it in a full completed Sketchup form, i can see some changes that probably need to be made. OS cant get a burned shot on it and looks like it could turn into an easy nade trap quickly, ii have a better idea that could save me some stairs and some single boxes, as well as i may be redesigning the top ledge rooms, to use less double walls and possibly make blocking it off easier.

unless like the overlook tower is accessible to both sides of the map

hopefully you understand what im saying haha

and also to avoid the nade trap, possibly move the os up to the next level???

There is actually 2 ways into each side, with a possible window being considered. There is one by the stairs on OS side, and one on snipe side. The overlook towers are not accessible considering they are the bases main power position over the rooms.

ooo ok now i see the lil tunnel, id be down for some sweet testing once it is finished by whoever makes it
