Anyone who wants, knock yourselves out. :) The green areas are two way teleporters, ideally. Note that the boundaries of this map would be walled off, so the entire thing should be enclosed.

Doesn't look too bad. My first opinion on the map though was that it looked to small but i may be wrong.
I like the one hallway that deffinitely looks inspired by the Ivory Tower hallway. Overall looks like a new design but like i said may turn up to be a bit cramped.

I thought it looked a little small as well, I'd have to see it built in Fritz' sketchup.

Looks sexy, and i don't really see where Zonked is coming from it looks kinda small but your not really taking into effect how the differing vertical levels will make the map a lot large. (example: Mecro)
Wheezy, Nexn and Nasty don't use components they just use the line drawing tool and in that way it doesn't restrict creativity as much.

you draw and as nasty said delete the uneccesary lines. if you use the components you cant do this. This is also the reason why Nexn's sketchup like this one aren't exactly always to scale they end up a little off scale

This design has pretty much everything that Ive been trying to come up with for I dont know how long.
Expect to see something similar to this from me at some point in the future.

You (and Nasty) should still do it as I can't see anyone doing a better job building a sketchup than you and nasty did with with mecro, plus he designed this and I'd be more inclined to believe that you would finish it over someone else.

Okay well if Nasty wants to do this map, than I will not do it but Im sorta determined now to finish to prove that I can do a great job its almost an exact remake as of right now, it will probably be done sometime Next week I have put in about 5 Hrs already so yeah.

Bastage means bastard apparently. As long as you do a good job I don't think anyone will mind, it's just that I KNOW that nasty and azazel do great work but I don't even know if they were gonna make it.

Dude, all the power to you man, but I see where lights is coming from, Nasty and Azazel have collabrated before on one of Nasty's sketch ups, (Mecro) and besides Azazel is good at transfering abstract sketch ups to actual Foundry (Hangout)
No one is doubting your forge skill just Nasty and Azazel have a background/record

This is really nifty Nasty! It has a lot of good design I see for halo 3. I am really looking forward to all the good sketchups becoming halo 3 forge maps, especially this one.

Nothing bad can come of somebody building a sketchup - for instance, the original Mecro was made by Sgt. Chaotic and served as an excellent template for Az and I's final version. For now, I say blakey should go full steam ahead. If it turns out well but it's evident there was a better way to do it, Az and I can make v2.

Yes Nasty, if this is the nest Mecro, then it is in very high demand. Also making one in Fritz's new components would be nice

If you have time, to do it in Fritz Components, It would be greatly appreciated, but I would be even happier if you gave me the download link after, I just got home, so sorry for the late response but I was wondering what certain abstract things were suppose to be. I am looking forward to continue forging, and I will hopefully get some pics of it by Friday night, thats my goal, also Nasty send me f/r so when I finish we can test it. :)

To me it looks like the 3 yellow areas are a double box at an angel and then a single box and then possibly a double box geod in the ground at an angle. The black looks like a double wall on one end with a couple bozes geod into the wall. As for the blue, just keep an opeing there?
Don't know if I am right about this, but that's how I interpret it.

Ya, that is how I interpreted it but Just confused on what he wanted me to use for the Blue, cuz it could be done multiple ways, so yeah It would help if we got Fritzer's component's thrown in there...

I'll make a fritz component sketchup, though I don't think I have time to re-organize items in order to stay in budget. It should just be a template for the general sizing. Already I think one of the rooms will end up stretched so you don't have to build a huge wall of boxes like 2 units away from the foundry wall.
For now, just remember that the sketchup was intended to be closed off, so the edges will be walls. Thus, the yellow areas in that picture can just be walls because they're squeezed between Foundry's wall and those boxes to the right - nobody will ever see the sides.

K sounds good but what I do is, go to http://www.forgehub.com/forum/foundryDesigner.php and than just put an object down each time i use it, so it keeps track :)

Tele's add a lot of depth to a map if done right, and here top floor access would be too limited with out them. You can't just say they're bad in all cases.

Looks like this map is going to take some serious planning and balancing in order to maintain most of the geometry and stay under budget - something I won't have time for until finals are over in two weeks. Sorry guys.
Blakey, I recommend you just start working and PM me if you have any particular questions about geometry. If it looks like you can't get a full working version with the current design, then in two weeks I'll have full time to sit down with azazel and re-do the map to work within the budget.
Regarding the teleporters, it costs $10 to put a two way teleporter system on the map. The teleporters weren't something I was completely certain of, but the areas where I have them I don't soon want to change, and they would only lead in to making an even bigger map which would be near impossible to keep in budget. Instead I just connected them "4 dimensionally" - that is, using teleporters to connect areas of the map that wouldn't normally lead to each other in regular 3 space. I like to think of it that way, rather than just as a free meal to get to the other side of the map.

As far as I can tell blakey has disappeared off the face of the earth, so I guess we're waiting two weeks. I'm sure you'll find a way to get it in budget considering mecro and xyience are somehow within budget when the original sketchups made it look completely impossible.

Hey, Sorry everyone, I have alot of school work, and just life in general has been pretty ruff, but wensday I will be getting back to forging, I have put time into what I have gotten so far but certain things have been difficult to do, mainly because I am not nasty and I dont know what each item is, etc. Also my forging skill in general I am great at Geo-Merging and Interlocking, but when it came down to the Angle Geo-Merge I dont know what to do, I have searched guides and have been trying to perfect it, so if anyone here is good at Angle Geo-Merges I would appreciate it if you could help.
Also I realize this would be over budget but I am sure all of us can figure everything out, and I will have my mic back by the time you get home so yeah. We will be able to talk.

Thanks so much dude, you solved all the scaling problems I was toying with in Sketchup (because things get skewed when you push that room against foundry wall).

The map is coming out pretty nicely, I restarted after looking at the Fritzer's components, version cuz yeah, well Ill be PMing you Pics later of the problems, im facing and stuff so yeah...
