My forgebuddy Phoenix jjust finished version 1 of his new map advent and we're looking for playtesters to play it tonight. If you're interested send a f/r to Hybrid Icon and I'll invite you.

Details: Supports KotH, Slayer, Flag, and Ball right now. Currently version 1.2 is in my fileshare. Changes from 1.0 include removal of 50% of the dumpsters on gold side, rockets set to drop spawn with no spare clips top mid, mauler moved to back mid gold, and some of the starting spawns were moved.

Third option: You're an idiot. The pictures show up fine in thumbnail mode, so I don't see why you have a problem.

Finally a good map this week (s). Completely original and it's something new, i'd playtest but my box is broken. One problem is the center seems open and running through it will result in death from all sides. Either use this as a advantage to place a powerup/power weapon there or add cover. Good job.

Edit: looking about pics second time it actually does seem to have cover.........

If people dislike/won't play my map because of my image host, doesn't that make them more of a jackass than me? Or does that fall under the broad spectrum of ignorance and not jackassery. Either way, I find it relaxing to reply to a useless post with another useless post.

However, I appreciate your input.

I guess I'll post it on b.net and see what happens since no one wants to playtest here.

Well, I was looking for a relatively rapid response because I want to run a few games before I hit the hay. I'm still not used to waking up at 6am to go to work yet so I'm trying to fix my ****ed up sleep schedule by getting to bed at a reasonable hour.

Also, I am looking for opinions about the map, not my image host.

But besides, your pics didn't show up for anyone else because your complete lack of intelligence had no idea what you were talking about. Since you know everything about image shack, or at least you come off that way, then you would know that once in awhile the pictures only show up for the host!

Since i don't know your name, which means you have had no good maps posted on here anyways, i was trying to be nice and help out. But apparently you are one hundred times cooler then me and everyone should play your map because of it.

The back of the base looks pretty cool the way you created a custom height, always a good idea, and the pillars look to be good LoS powers, maybe if you grant me some of your awesomeness i might be able to find the dl link by myself and check it out!

Jon, your logic is poor and internet pissing contests are for children.

For the record, I have no problem with you. If you had said, "the images aren't showing up for me, can you fix it?" I would have understood what you meant. I associate the word spam with meat byproduct and viagra emails because that's how the word is defined.

We playtested for the last half hour and we're currently working on version 1.2. If you want to drop by our Forge session I'd be happy to welcome you and put aside these...immature issues that seem to have developed over a minor misunderstanding.

Well not all of the maps are Onslaught rehashes. A lot of the sketchups are really nice and original and I look forward to the completion of most of them. I appreciate the input so far guys. We're currently on version 1.2. We've added rockets top mid, moved the mauler to mid gold, and removed some nades, walls, and dumpsters. I'll put version 1.2 up in my share asap.

That map looks awesome. A much needed revelation from the typical 2-base onslaught design. I don't have a clear understanding of h3's gameplay so i'm not going to give you any advice on its design, but you should probably give the actual LINK to the map you are advertising in the op so people can playtest it.


Also, if you're planning on making another map, please don't confine the playing area to that box everyone uses. I think it would be interesting if someone of your creativity could make a map shaped like an 'L' , uses the whole map, or even implements a teleporter. It seems that all you great forgers are limiting yourselves to one part of foundry EVERYTIME you conclude on a design. As i've said, someone as talented as yourself should try something new on foundry that hasn't been seen before.

Advent supports all MLG gametypes, including ball. Slayer and KotH run best. Flag is okay but I'm still laughing about how Phoenix placed the flag spawns. You can really only grab the flag from one of two directions.

I'll edit my original post with a link to the map. It seems I forgot to do that.

I'm the one who forged the map(yes everything while icon constantly gave his opinion and ideas out to me.), but unfortunately for me and more importantly you; I will not be able to finish the map for quite some time due to the fact that my xbox got the so called red rings of death. I'm sorry for the inconvenience in this matter, but I will see what I can do to solve the problem and finish the map.

The map looks interesting. However, I would have liked it better if rockets weren't on instant respawn and there were actually starting points on the map.

Also, you need a better attitude. No one in these forums will like you if you continue to act the way you are.

For the last time, if you have a problem with my attitude or the way I conduct myself on the internet (SRS BSNS!!!!) either neg rep me or send me a PM. Personally, I could care less about how you think of me but it annoys me that you all continue to post here about my demeanor. Like my sig says, sarcasm does not translate well over the internet. I'm not going to apologize for you all misunderstanding my comments.

Also, yes Ciabatta, I forgot to place the spawns for slayer. They were there for flag and KotH though but that's my B. We've already fixed it though, and now we're just looking for help on the yellow side of the map.

We don't know what to do in the areas that are outlined in red.

0.) We had these things Phoenix likes to call "starbursts" here, but they just didn't fit right. We also tried geomerging random objects to create something interesting like what's on Amplified in the corners, but that failed pretty hard too. We want whatever is here to allow a player to jump from on top of the object to the mid-level gold ramp on either side.

1.) While its nice, it's kinda boring. We considered moving the staircase from the sides of the bases to behind the first box and it looked okay but we couldn't think of anything to put in on the 0 side of the wall because the single open box won't fit correctly.

If you have any suggestions, please, please send them. :)
