Ok so i was wondering what the MLG community thinks about an MLG FFA MAP... I know there is a lot of talent out there but its hard to find that right team. So with this in mind i was wondering what MLG has instore for the '09 season. Do you think that if the right map was developed and the games went smoothly that would pick it up? I dunno just been thinking. Also i want to use this thread to see if there is anyone that wants to help me perfect a MLG FFA map. OR Should we wait till the new maps are Released?

I think there are already good enough FFA maps out there, and MLG said that FFA is taking up too much time at events and not as easy to run as teams. I do think it would be good if Bungie added a MLG FFA playlist, something still MLG if you get tired of team or you could use it to warm -up, or if you just prefer FFA.

MLG has stated that they have no intentions of bringing back FFA because it takes up a day of the tournament, less people buy team passes, and it extremely hectic to run. I doubt you'll see FFA ever again, but custom FFA's can be fun. Just search around the forge section and you can usually find a great map for any type of game.

-It last too long
-It looks completely unprofessional when we do our best to motor through the bracket
-It takes an entire tournament day to run it, which hamstrings the team event
-Does the NCAA seed March Madness by cumulative Free Throw competitions?

FFA won't return to events. And if you want a good FFA map, just search the Forge forum there's plenty out there.

And hit me up for FFAs :) Love em.

Ya i totally understand. But what if there was a bracket on GB? Would you play in it?They have 1v1s but how exactly would you manage FFAs ? Challenge 7 different people ? That wouldn't work and then there is the questions like who gets the wins? how many games do you play? If its best out of 3 and 3 different people win what do you do? Do you give points by placement ? If so how cany you trust people to keep points ? it just wouldn't work. Play customs if you want to play FFAs.
