Need to clear some stuff up

hey guys I post mainly around the halo 3 forum but have ventured into the forge forum as well to see what’s going on and have made the odd post however I would like an explanation. now I know some people in here are well recognised but there seems to have been some sort of misunderstanding and I’m not the type of person to just let something like this tarnish my name so to speak. this is the said incident:

now I have lots of respect for the forgers in the community and am constantly downloading the maps which you guys spend hours crafting but I have literally no idea what happened here, I posted that thread about a leaked sandbox picture last night in the H3 forum and then pretty much went to bed when I woke up I checked through the posts amongst it and + repped a couple of guys who gave me a high res version of the picture to which I acknowledged in the OP but other then that I haven’t repped anybody. if someone could explain to me what happened I would much like this to be resolved. In fact, the person that made that neg rep was named AlTeRREgO.

Jon, Tak, Epic, and Lightz all neg repped Hunter to get even, even though Hunter didn't do anything. Simply a misunderstanding. Here is some +rep Hunter, and now we're all friends again.

I remember seeing someones sig where the person got a grey box, an angry comment and signed with neighbor. He captioned it "I don't think neighbor gives out grey boxes...". It was quite amusing looking at it, but some people are just going to be like that, and there's not much you can do. You could possibly contact a mod about it and get them to follow it up for you. I would +rep to make it up to you because it was a good find (and checking the times now you posted the thread almost an hour earlier than the one on the forge forum), but all I would give is a grey box :D

Thats the problem with the Rep system, you can sign any name you want to. So being vindictive won't work because 99% of the time you'll probably get the wrong person as some idiot decides to either neg rep you with someone else name so that he doesn't get neg repped back. I don't really bother with neg rep and if I get neg rep I send a PM in an attempt to clear it up or sort it out or apologies whatever. However the forge forum community are possibly the nicest guys on this entire forum as a whole apart from perhaps the Off Topic or Thought Provoking sections. I highly doubt that would do something like that.

Wow dude, that sucks lol. I agree, it doesn't sound like something Lightz would do. Plus most people don't sign -rep, they're afraid of getting neg'd back or they're just cowards. A mod can probably clear this up for you bro.

The one left by Jon was me. Obviously i have some explaining to do for it. First off, if that type of action is against the rules, i will take the infraction, and i will not do it again.

I left the rep after being in a party with Lights, where we were discussing Sandbox. Lights tells me that he got negged from you for their being two threads. I normally would agree with you on this point, but the action was random. The new map is about Forge basically, and you rep someone for making a thread about it in the Forge section?

To be honest, Lights's thread is setup a lot better then yours. He has two pictures sources all that jazz, and he even gave you credit for the find. But you didn't even find it, some Bnet kid did, and he found it off someone else. The topic is not yours to command. If you think the repeat thread shouldn't be there, you should have pm'ed Lights, a mod, or reported the post.

Just the fact that it is a forging map, i also thought it should be posted in the Forge section. Hell, TaK, Epic, and I spent a good part of last night discussing what this all meant. This is one of the best things to happen to us forgers. ( Not me really ;) )

I am not going to plus you just to reverse something i do not regret, but if you make good posts, i will plus you. To everyone else, you guys should not even be posting here, or atleast yet. This is a topic about a personal argument, and your posting without hearing both sides. Also, the forge community is great. There are some rough patches, *cough* Lion's Cage *cough* and maybe this will become one of them, but normally, everyone is pretty cool here.

seeing as how the first 3 start with "yo dawg", it would lead me to believe that some jerk just got on 3 different registered accounts and posted -rep on you. might help to talk to a mod and see what that was about

Things like this really shouldn't be tolerated around the forums. I understand that it's just rep, and it doesn't mean much, but to some people it does.

Really, a solution would be to add a feature where you could check a box to sign your name or not, and it'd put it in another column. But unless vBulletin added it, there's nothing we can do.

Either way it was insignificant and doesn't matter, peoplem have their reasons for doing **** so leave them be, it really doesn't matter. I wasn't going to explain why I negged you but due to my lack of caring I will, I negged you because you made some immature posts a while ago that I was pissed at and when I went to Neg you I got the "You have given out too much rep in the last 24 hours" Then I heard Lightz story and I remembered so I negged you with that comment because I figured if I was doing it anyway might aswell have fun.

Also seeing as "AlTeRREgO" cared so much about rep to not sign his own for fear of getting it returned I plan on going and Negging him for being the sourse of this drama.
