Assembly Forge Team [Archive]

So although most of the forgers attention will be a Sandbox, (with good reason) I still have high hopes for Assembly. The only problem is, and this happened with Cold Storage as well, a lot of random forgers will feel the need to make their own version.

This can be easily stopped however, if people who are getting the Halo Wars limited edition have a brief starting time. If we get a solid Assembly test map out, it can grind out other maps. To do this, i propose a we use a team of 4 forgers. They would need to respect each other's ideas and opinions, and work together.

The team would go over the basics, spawns, weapons, power-ups, and type of cover that may be needed. Since there should be little to none actual forging, some none forgers will be accepted. (Lights ;))

I would like a spot, but since this is for the community, if you guys don't agree that i should have a spot then say so, and I will remove myself from the list. This applies to all other people who want to be in on this group.

The only rules per say, is you must be getting the Halo Wars LE, you must be a semi known forger, and you cannot have any recent. conflicts with other group members.

When this is done, we will post a thread on the normal h3 thread so we can get some mass testing done on it.

I unno, I also dunno if I am for sure, but I will be taking a close look at assembly when it comes out so either way.

Team A will focus on slayer, Team B on hill, and Team C on CTF. Now we need a team D for oddball. After we do several internal tests to find the best version, we will post that version in h3 forums, to be tested by the majority MLG h3 community.

On a side note, I'd like in on one of these. However, I'm not purchasing HWLE because I'm not interested in HW and refuse to succumb to M$'s stupid marketing crap (hehe, what a rebel), so I'll be late to the party. Anyone else not getting HWLE can join team Shake.;-)

Im not sure I'm even gonna get HW. I'll be too busy playing H3 and waiting for the maps on marketplace. But I'm down for team shake. I may not be a great forger but wth nothing else to do right? I just want to see Assembly work with assault btw.

Nothing, I frankly do not care if you(or anyone else) play my version, I forge for one reason, to make Halo 3 as competitve as possible. Reason I started forging, reason I am still forging after 1000+ hours of infuriating madness. You don't want to play it is fine by me.

Not trying to be rude, just blunt to get the point across.

If that maps come out the following week than I have the restraint to not waste 80 bucks on a console RTS game, if its two weeks than its kind of a grey area, and if its three weeks I'll probably buy it.

i have the resources to buy it, but i dont want to be thouroughly disappointed with sandbox...
those outside lines are gonna make or break the map for me.

I probably will end up buyin it though

New A team roster update, Me, Epic, Nicka, and Wheezy. Assembly vA will **** all other versions.

To update this thread, heres whats going to happen. All teams will be able to make their own version, for all gametypes. All versions must be submitted here, where we will get internal testing on each version. After a week of testing, we will use the best map of them all. Once we pick that one, this version will get posted in the normal forum, for the community to test.

Since people are being cheap, the deadline will be one week after the maps are released without Halo Wars. Good luck to all the teams involved.

You can't fully test a map in a week let alone build off of one you have never seen before, give it two, especially since you will be hard pressed to find people who want to play Assembly a lot before the map pack is available for marketplace download.

Basic design is already floating around the internet, there will be no real forging only weapon placement and spawns. The week deadline is after they release it on the marketplace silly! People who get it early have an advantage :)

Still not long enough though, I know the week deadline is after the release on Marketplace but still not long enough to test a map fully. I will have a version ready within two weeks of the release of the maps on marketplace.

Back on subject, I was watching some videos leeked on Assembly and I'm not sure I'm too fond of it. I could be wrong but the videos looked a little, upsetting.

Not to get off topic, but isn't Orbital supposed to be a small-mid sized asymmetrical map? Somebody should try something like this for Orbital. I'm probably not good enough in forge to be part of it though. Just a thought.
