Over the past two weeks I've been working on a map called Carbon. It is an MLG Assymetrical map built mostly for Team Slayer and Ball but can also work King. As far as editing, all I need to do is change power weapon spawns as well as Overshield spawn and fix a few bumps.
Im looking for an experienced Forge Partner to help finish my map up: If you feel you fit the requirements, post here.

It is a work in progress. Death star and buddies helped me go through teh map bit by bit and gave me alot of tips I will incorporate. But I need a partner! If you have any comments post them here.

Dude this is sick, i love the high catwalks and the style is cool.
You got lazy with geo'ing the crane, that needs to be done but sick forging otherwise :)

Well, I discussed it with some friends and Overshield is going to go in between the crane and elevated a little as well. The pictures are too big so it blocks off view of atrium and blue tower.

Ok cool, after looking at the pics though, themap could definately be neater. i mean more geoglitching, cuz it's not sloppy, but you can keepit simple if you want it would just be better with more geoglitching

one thing that i notice just from the pictures. Do not have a lot of dumpsters as cover. B/c 1 it looks like you got lazy and two try and think of more creative ways if budget allows.

I think the way he used the dumpsters is fine. It isn't as if he was building the map, and just ended up with some empty space so he shoved a dumpster in there; he wanted to create an area similar to Hang'em High's graveyard, and there aren't any objects better than dumpsters for doing that.

yes there is nothing wrong with it but... if you have the budget wouldent you want to change it to make it more original and sometimes the little things like taking out dumpsters make the map what it is

Whoa, you changed it a lot...What did you do with the window side walkway?

Thanks rehnx. Yes, I did the graveyard on purpose, I like there position and yes the budget is slim. We tested it out today and the graveyard works great. Phuria will be my partner in cleaning up the map with me and when Its done I will start my next map I adopted.

This map looks aweesome dude. My friend BFP Sticky V3 would probably like to help out, just add him if you want. I'm excited to see this map be finished, make sure you keep this thread updated when it is.

Ok. any otehr comments. ohh and Phuria will not be fixing up teh map so that spot is still open to a good forger.

Took the words out of my mouth. There have been other Foundry maps that have done something like this with the dumpsters and created a "graveyard" kind of area before and it's worked really well (see: Cenotaph, I think Vendetta has a few dumpsters. . .).

Well the map has been put on hold. It is done and the layout is basically done. I knwo my weapon placements now but I need someone who can clean up the map for me.

To soulful: I just dont have the time or effort for the vlean up. In your spare time would you like to help me clean it all the way up? Phuria is not going to help me with the project.

I like the look of the map so far with all the different walkways and such and im looking forward to you cleaning it up (or whoever is) and if I find the time ill test it with you. So far so good.

I like the catwalks on the ma a whole lot. I think it would interesting to test, in my opinion.

I took a break from halo and came back to finish this map the way I wanted it to.But im looking for an experienced forger to help me. Can anyone help? It shouldnt take too long. And im going to be running favorites for my group on bungie and wanted to get it all fixed up before then. Thanks.

You need a link to the map in order to post a release thread. Pre-release screenshots and other teasers belong in the "What are You Working On" sticky. Please post a download link to this map, as it shows promise and I'd rather not lock this thread.

But please, don't call it a beta, just give it a version number. This isn't web 2.0, this is a video game.
