Heya all. Well, I really like playing MLG maps and variants. One of the game types that is neglected by MLG is VIP. Not entirely sure why, but I put something together to maybe spark some ideas.
I know Blackout is not used officially, and I know VIP isn't used officially. Oh well. But I tried to make a MLG VIP variant ONLY for Blackout. I have full details below. Please give this map/variant a try and post some suggestions or constructive criticism.
Map: MLG Blackout v6 (VIP Only Map)
Each team (Red & Blue) have 1 VIP.
There is 5 sequenced, rotational goal destinations (every 1 minute).

Time limit is 20 minutes.
Weapon layout same as Blackout v5.
No custom power-ups.
Gametype: MLG VIP Blackout v6

Explanations (Please Read)
Reason for Goal Destinations
The reason why I put Goal Destinations is to keep the flow of game-play moving, and it is an objective game variant and should be treated as such. This isn't a Team Slayer VIP. The destinations rotate every one minute, so every team can play OFFENSIVELY or DEFENSIVELY. Keep their VIP out, keep yours in (and safe).
Point System Spaghetti
Goal arrivals are 10 points to the team that get their VIP to the destination. This is a significant amount of points and which motivates the teams to realize that this is a critical objective. Each team can rotate to defensive or offensive positions temporarily, but the gameplay is quick.
Killing the VIP will reward your team with 5 points and deduct 5 points from the team the VIP lost. This is another objective in the same game, motivating each team to eliminate the VIP but as well keep theirs safe.
If the VIP kills an opponent the team is awarded 1 point. This is to keep the scoring system flowing. And to slowly redeem losses.
VIP Players & Their Jacked-Up Spartans
Actually the VIP's aren't that strong at all. They can take only double amount of head shots (that's eight headshots). But considering the VIP is a primary and most important target, obviously the VIP is going to take team-shots from the opposition in some situations.
Reason why VIP's cant pick up weapons is to keep gameplay balanced. It would just be too difficult to have a VIP camp on defense with a sniper rifle. VIP is limited to BR only, and unlimited ammo.
Please give this a go with some friends and leave feedback. I hope this is a fun and a new taste of gameplay.
