Is it just me, or do most of the maps made in sandbox look like paintball fields, with dull, repetitive bunkers everywhere. Don't get me wrong, I love that we have sandbox and people have already made some cool things, but it seems like with all of foundry's limitations, it made people more creative. I'm hoping people take that innovation and make some truly amazing maps in sandbox.
p.s. Lets hope bungie fixes the whole play ball issue in the sky bubble.

A lot of the maps I see look all the same. They all look like onslaught or amplified. No one really has an original design.

I agree, plus it's so damn dark in the Crypt. I may start using the main floor for forging my maps.

It's not too bad in the crypt. How's your brightness? They have the red and blue lights also which can help out.

I think it might just be that there's so many new items people don't really know how to utilize all of them yet...
My first few days of sandboxing i had absolutely no clue what to do with anything. It wasn't until i started remaking beaver creek that i even got used to the new objects.
Cuz lets face it, we had like 3 things to use in Foundry. Walls, boxes, and bridges. We had to utilize those three things to make EVERYTHING. If we needed a different shape we would have to merge multiple objects get achieve it. Now there's like 50 different shaped and sized objects to toy with.
Just give it a few months when everyone know how to use ALL of the new pieces and well have some truly ground breaking maps on our hands.....

Who cares if the map is a little dark or reminds you of a paintball field as long the map? I don't, as long the map plays well and is competetive.
But, the many Amp and Onslaught remakes is really bad. :-|

Well just put the ball on like a 10 second Play?
EDIT: Sorry for the sad looking quote.

I'm just dazzled by the amount of people making symmetrical maps. I understand that it's the simplest type of map to create (since it's only half of a map), but the large amount of basically the same, uninspired map is ridiculous. Wizard wasn't really that great to get FOUR remakes.
The Crypt is REALLY awesome. Screw the skybox, the crypt is the prime place for Forging in Sandbox. It just needs some good map-maker's attention, that's all. ;-)

I would say alot of what were seeing now is an influx of brand new forgers releasing there first maps. Why the influx of newbies? Well Bungie just released the baddest forging map EVARR and now people want to play around with it and see what they can do. I honestly expected ALOT of terrible maps to come out near immediately and this has shown true.
To see the good stuff, wait till the newbs sort themselves out and stop forging cause there maps aren't good. Some newbs may pick up forging and have some talent, but they gotta practice first. As far as the normal forging crowd here, we seem to all be working on something which will eventually net us some good maps to play on. Don't believe me? What are the best two MLG maps out on sandbox right now?
Cynosure by Pulsekiller and Cryptoline by xPurple
Doesn't suprize me that these two were forged by regulars.
Back on topic, It's not so much the crypt thats bad, it's just noobs learning the ropes. They seam to wanna forge in there alot to make these Onslaught/Amp remakes. Anyways, just give it time and better maps will start to appear.
