Ok this is another creation of mine and in best suited for 1vs1 or 2vs2 and some fun FFA's

Now its not completely goe but most of it is.. I still need to work on the sides a bit more..

Please leave all non related map feedback out of this thread..

Now i have not test this map for any bigger then 2's and i got to say it was loads of fun..

I'm running around it right now, looks really good. But rockets for a 1v1? Gonna invite some people and try it out.

Might be good for 2v2 CTF, but not Slayer or 1v1s.

Looks pretty cool. But the only problem that I can see are the rockets.

2v2 CTF looks good on it. rockets automatically dont make it a 1v1 map

Wow, this looks really nice. The layout looks nice, and I always love a good 2v2 map. I'll DL today, but I won't be able to test it. I'll try to edit this post after I've run some customs on it.

Good job Salot, I still don't understand why you get so much hate. Nice avy BTW :)

(Also, are you going to keep working on MLG the Crypt X? I haven't played a ton on it, but I think it is a quite an improvement over Onslaught.)

O.K. You look like you are clicking with design now, because this map is probably the best so far. Albeit a bit small and fairly simple, I think it would play very well for 2v2 CTF. The forging is better (some interlocking - yay) and even where you haven't used interlocking it still feels smooth. Interesting geometry has been used in places, and it also looks aesthetically pleasing.

There are three things that I see as problems. Two are kind of related. The first is that Top Mid seems to be fairly overpowered with the ample cover. I like how there is no power weapon there, but there is plenty of cover and they have views on everywhere else in the map.

The second problem is....well, it isn't symmetrical. The sides don't match up if you flip them or rotate them! I know there is such things as non-symmetrical maps that still play symmetrical (Bungie does them all the time) but I don't get that impression from your map. It seems like you have just misplaced objects! Probably something you should fix or explain sooner rather than later.

Relating to this is the spawns. Obviously spawns on one side now don't match the other. A thing to keep in mind here (this is from Shishka talking about spawn placement in Atlas threads) is that people tend to run forward straight off spawn. There is one spawn where you will fall from the side onto the bottom level, and the starting spawns mean that everyone will run into each other before realising what is going on. The rest of the spawns are pretty good though.

Overall, I am definately seeing improvement as a whole, and while this map isn't incredible it still is quite good and improving on your past maps. You just need to fix some things, and maybe take some more time in between maps. Good job :)

Great design. I actually like this design. Once some things are rearranged and cleaned up, it will be even better. There are only a couple of things that stood out to me.

1) You have a little platform all the way around the back of each base. Overly strategic place to stand with the ball or hide. You can back up onto it right off of spawn. Might of been planned, but little outside ledges never lead to any good.

2) What seems to be random object placement or the beginning of a continued walkway that seems to stop with the last ramp. Just looked confusing to me.

3) One of the "mushroom stands" is wayyyyy off center.

I only ran around it. I did not play on it. I also did not put it into Forge.

Thanks so far for the replies and the feedback..

I wanted this to be bigger but i don't like using the walls do to the fact of bungie stupid mess up and yes its a mess up... This did not happen on foundry so why sandbox..

But like i said i will keep working on this i want to make a version for 2vs2 and then one for 4vs4..

I understand about the two sides are different but hey if i did a mirrored map again people would just frown..

But its not just random objects its more of a walkway with cover...

But i will try to build it bigger but don't think that can happen...

Unless i build this in the crypt.. And that might be the only way..

But again thx.....

Sup Salot, I was running around on this last night. I really like how the rockets are recessed below everything, that was an idea for a power weapon placement i had a while ago. I'll Try and run some 2v2s for some better feedback tonight. 8)

I liked it more than the people I was people I was playing with. It's not bad but it's not done, I think. This map won't really work for 1v1 unless you delete top mid and decrease cover on the bases. Spawns are pretty wack. 2v2 is probably more appropriate for this map, it's too large for a 1v1 BR battle basically. I like some of the ideas but the power positions don't work out good for 1v1, the top of the map can see virtually every spawn and if you can't get up top you don't really have any reason to leave the bases. A larger version of this map with more cover on the sides could play well for 4v4.

Wall glitch actually does happen on foundry it's just less noticable because of the brown wood strips on the walls.

Dude, this map is insane, great job Salot, dude if you make it slightly wider, with Man cannons or Something it could be in the circuit instantaniously.
