View Full Version : Stockpile meets the crypt ( Sandpile )

Ok i been forging again lately and i wanted to finish the remake of stockpile that i did on foundry a year ago... But with a little twist........
Now i will be redoing the latest map Chill 2 so it can support 4's.
But i usually have several projects aka maps needing to be finish. 1 was Stockpile. And the other is Onslaught but i wanted to get this one out for testing...
Now this is not fully geo but i have geo into the walls of the crypt and i wanted to have mass play testing before i finish cleaning it up. This is how i do things....
Just run games on it leave feed back and soon as i gathered enough i will clean the rest of the map up.
Also i don't know where to put the ball at start so any tips please post...

Oddball
Weapons and power ups & locations
Battle rifles ( 8 ) Scattered all around
Carbines (8) Located in each base
Mauler ( 2 ) Located on each side of the blocks in front of tele's
Nades ( 8)
Plasma ( 2 )
Camo (1) Located top mid.

Do not leave feedback on how clean it is i will clean it up when i satisfied with the map..

The main influence of ball spawn is the starting spawns...Where are the starting spawns located?
The ball can be placed anywhere on the line of symmetry between the starting spawns.
I think the size of the crypt will really help stockpile...but it may also turn into a wizard/warlock remake now :(

I just place the ball somewhere but run threw it and let me know where will the bes place for it would be...

Man Salot you are real busy these days, I love your work, but maybe you should look into taking your time into a Serious map that will make the circuit, like IDK that map you sketchuped a few weeks back, and said your not going to be a giving us a look until its done, so I think you should make that map a good one.

I prefer the old top mid/mid on the foundry version, seemed more simpler then this one. Great map thought, you've been putting out ALOT of them recently keep it up.

Jesus, Salot, you're forging like an animal. pics look nice, and I'm sure gameplay will mirror the old Foundry version. Keep up the good work.

You've got a ton of projects! Anyways, as far as the map goes, I'm not a huge fan of Stockpile, but I haven't tested this one. I'll DL it and try to run some customs on it this weekend, but I'm not making promises. I think it is an improvement on the Foundry version, but as someone else said, it is looking a lot like Warlock.
OFF TOPIC:
Alright, this is concerning Chill v2.1 (sorry, I'm running out of time so I don't have time to post this in that thread). I'm liking the layout so far, but I REALLY hate that it's not 100% symmetrical. Fix it please :)

I would like to see him put maps out, but if that means more quantity with less quality, I would much rather want to see better quality and much less quantity.

Off topic? thats as on topic as you can get, and Encounter, Salot is not a baseball you throw around with your friends stop being so demanding, maybe he made the map that way for a reason...hmmm?

Can you thrown me a link to the original please i never saw it. Tell me if im wrong here Ive never played the first as i said but from the looks it seems like there would be heaps of camping in the corners of the maps (all the little bases) because the teleporters seem to open and there isn't much cover heading to the middle even if camo is there. Just my 2 cents.

Do you read what you type? Please, just read it so it is not as bad for us to read. You would realize how bad the grammer is.
Now, SaLoT, you have been cranking out map after map. You need to slow it down and really take some time on a map to get it nice and ready to play. These maps probably are not that bad, but still, it seems like you are turning out a new map every 3 or 4 days.
Ill run around your map, and see how it is, then Ill get back to you.

I crank maps out because i can, not because i feel a need to. I put maps out to see what people like about them, then i use that for my next map until i come up with something good. That's how Onslaught came about,so that how i will do things. I am not making you download these maps. I don't sit on one idea and make it clean as hell and find out later it is crap. I don't like asymmetrical maps i feel they don't work well in halo 3 but, that's my 2 cents.
Now this map actually plays pretty well, despite how clean it is.
P.s. What message i send on live does not mean post it on here. Ya it is pretty sad when people add me for dumb reason like O mY god BBQ you made de Onslaught eh? I just want to enjoy this game and not be known for nothing then get stupid questions when i am on live. If you don't know i made Onslaught along with Nexn then you need to pay attention a little bit better to VOD they paste that **** across the screen. I am no one special, hell 90% of the MLG folks hate me and you want me on you list for what reason? So ya my message was correct in how i sent it to my so called friends....
Do you really want some to have you on there list just because your known?
Again sorry for my grammar, i just type fast and could care less about the grammar as long as i get a few words spelled correct.

I have free time when i wake up in the morning and forge till 1 and then i go play

nice familiar feel of warlock, overall very nice to play on. Maybe make jumps a little more "accessible" and once you clean this up it will play like a charm

I'm gonna DL it and test it out, but from the pics it seems like there is no protection to middle or to the teles. I really like the idea of the map, I just didn't want it to turn into a campfest. I'll walk around it to finalize my opinion though. Overall goodjob.
