Hey guys, I have a bit of a problem. I've been playing on 2 sensitivity for several months now, and I've been comfortable with it... but I feel like lately it's been a bit slow when it comes to turning around, etc... but my BR is steady on it, so I like it.
I've been trying 3, and it's a pretty big jump from 2 to 3 IMO, not excessive, but you can definitely tell the difference. I do turn faster, but my BR is a bit unsteady.
What do you guys suggest I do, 2, where my BR is better but I have a hard time turning around as fast... or 3, where my BR is a bit unsteady but I have a lot more looking speed. I've been really wanting to improve my game (I'm not that great), and I think I should start with my sensitivity.

I've gone through that.
I went from 2 to 3.
Pretty much, go play on 4 or 5 in social slayer a bunch.
Since your BR will be unsteady, try to strafe with your shot. By this, I mean, rather than relying on your aim-stick to aim at the enemy, try to aim more by moving with the target.
Once you think you are getting somewhat used to that, bump down to 3, and go play some MLG.

Alright I could give that a try. Thanks for the advice.

3 isn't REALLY that fast, but play on whatever you're most comfortable on.

play 3, your overall preformance is better
everyone's skill is better on a lower sensitivity, but 3 is the best.

I used to play on 1 but I play on 4 now. I jumped from 1-2 and played a lot with my teammates to get used to it, I finally did, and jumped to 4.
Even now, it feels too slow turning and looking up then down. I might try to practice 5, but I'll live I guess.

I understand, it's not. I guess I'm just not used to it because it seems pretty fast to me, no clue why.
Thanks for all the responses everyone. I think I'll stick with 3, maybe go to a higher sens for a few games, then jump back down.

I used to play 2 and I felt the exact same way as you.
Upping your sens will be a HUUUUUGE benefit to not only you, but more importantly your team. Reasons why? you need only one reason.... You can react faster. If people could control 10 sens they would play on it. the reason why most people play from 2-5 is because it is the most easily controlled.
When I decided to up from 2, I played octagon and BR warm-up games for roughly 3 days on 8 sens. After those 3 days I dropped my sensitivity by ONE each day after that until I found a sensitivity that I felt comfortable with, which turned out to be 4. The whole process took me just over a week, and if you compared my BR from 2 sens to 4 sens you actually seen an improvement, your strafe will improve as well as your overall coordination and reaction time, giving you an overall better BR.
I am in a similar process now as I am switching from the DEFAULT button layout to Bumper Jumper. I have been on Bumper Jumper for a week now and feel pretty comfortable with it. I tried going back to default to see how i did, and it was disastrous!
Just stick with it. You will probably play worse than you normally do for a week or two, but you will be pleased with your outcome. Its worth the switch trust me!

In my opinion, the worst thing you can do is to keep switching up. If you never get used to something then you won't be able to perfect it. I say pick one and stick with it.
I have also been playing on 2 for awhile. I tried switching up to 3 but it was just too fast for me so 2 it will stay.

Switch to 4. It's worth it.
Just out of curiosity, what size TV are you on?

I just recently switched from 2 to 4..To get used to it, I just bought a three month that I didnt care about, and just went into MLG playlist and started playing on it. Thats basically all you can do, just practice until you get the feel for it.

I say 3. When I starting playing Halo, I was really conformable on it. U have to do that. If it means switching sensitivities, do it.

I play on a small tube TV at my mom's house, and a big one at my dad's house. I'm not poor, I just can't play on a monitor. I don't know about monitors in general, but my monitor I CANNOT play on, I always did the worst and was the reason we lost. It's funny, I always thought I sucked but I went to my dad's house, playing on the tube TV, I was going positive every single game and winning several games in a row. Turns out all the bad practicing I had been doing had been subtly helping me.
Thanks again for all the responses guys. Both sides have valid arguments; I'll try to get better on 3, maybe stick with it for a week or so, and if I see no signs of improvement (or I see signs of doing poorly) I'll go back to 2.

you CAN play on 2.5........not many people know about this but if u goto game defaults on the xbox360 guide u can edit your controller sensitivity and then the IN-GAME sensitivity which is halo sensitivity........ it changes the ingame sens by .5(half) give it a try and if it doesnt do much then stick with 3 bcuz u will get used to it if u really dont like being able to spin around that fast

It's all about personal preference. I bounce back from 2 to 3 every once in a while. I usually end up sticking with 2 though.

Play on whatever is comfortable. Personally I hate the feeling of dieing because I "turn to slow" so I play on 4. and try sticking to a certain sensitivity.

Yep.
I really hate any lifts like the one's on Heretic and Pit. My Br feels SO slow at 4, going up and down. Side to side isn't that bad on 4, I think 5 would be perfect if I was committed to getting it down.

I've been trough all that aswell.
Sep 07 - Dec 07 = 1 Sens
Jan 08 - April 08 = 2 Sens
April 08 - Sep 09 = 3 Sens
And now i'm playing on 4 Sens. This is because i bought an wired controller because me wireless controller stop working for some reason and because it was a slow turning 4 sens on the wired was about the same as a 3 on Wireless.
The best thing you can do to is to stop switching between 2-3 and make a choice. Also do like 2 warm-up games on 10 sens. I know this sound ridiculous but if you play on a very high sens, 3 would almost seem to slow for you. I always do that. Also the same opposide. If a sens looks to slow, ill put it on 1 and then 4 looks very fast.
