Last night i took a pretty big tv size drop, 54" (only TV we owned, like 9 years old) to 20"/19".
I still played about the same except my late night awareness is **** now

only if the tv is vastly different than the one on which i normally play. widescreen screws with me as well, but i get use to it eventually.

This thread doesn't belong in the TP.
But best tv size I found for h1 was 19-21''
bigger the better for h2.

I would aim for 18-24" per player, so if you plan on LAN'ing a ton, get a lot of small TV's or a bigger one.
Bigger than that it's hard to pick out details/keep the whole screen in your field of view, at least for me.

^^
Thats what I feel like. I think I have a 27 and that is a little to big for me. I get frustrated using it so I just move back from the screen. But its different.
I think it is easier to have a smaller tv and be close to it, than have a big tv and be far away from it.

I have a 27... a bit of a hassle to drag around to LAN, but whatever.

I prefer a smaller tv to a larger one. If its too big I feel like I have to search all over the screen to find somebody.

I think Bigger is better for anything, As long as it doesn't get stretched to much, because that messes up your aim a little.

to a point it does but it can be too big just like it can be too small. i think the sweet spot is between 25-30 inches depending on what its being used for maybe a little bigger.
the reallly important thing is quality, resolutoin and contrast, and viewing angle. and then stuff like like burn in and ambient light messing with the quality are sorta tertiary in importance.
for example, i have a 23 inch apex pos flatscreen. i had the contrast all low to make dark areas brighter, so when i compared KOTOR on PC to KOTOR on my tv i noticed how bad everything was. so i fixed the contrast and now everything looks alot better.
and resolution can make blurriness less of an issue.
but mainly for gaming and most practical use i prefer a smaller tv. but for like a big home theater or something like that then a big screen would be better. but for gaming it makes no sense. why get one huge tv so splitscreen will work better when you could just get 4 small ones and not have the issue and it would be cheaper? yes youd have to have 4 games and consoles and everything else but depending on the big screen it could still be cheaper.
then again thats just my 2 cents
