I think I'll go delete a few of my posts just to f-up the claims to post 20,000.

Time for final predictions, I guess.

1. tD - It probably doesn't even need to be mentioned, but, judging by the way Halo 3 has gone, this is anything but the certainty many of you are making it out to be. Even the teams who have performed well in consecutive events (Str8 last year, tD this year) just haven't quite been up to the task of taking 1st place twice in a row. Regardless, tD seems to have found a consistency that was lacking last year, and they are the best team as of now.

2. Str8 - I don't see Str8 fading into mediocrity like some have suggested. I believe they are, at worst, the 2nd best team in the league. There have been many roster changes amongst the other top contenders (tD, FB, Instinct, Carbon) both this year and last, yet Str8 has consistently proved they are top 2 material, especially coming off a bad performance in the previous event.

3. Instinct - Not much to say here. To me, it's just another roster change which might make the team better. The forum seems to overwhemingly believe that this roster will succeed, but I'm not convinced they're any better than with Walshy or Ghost. They've apparently been practicing hard and doing well online as well as in the LAN vs sQ, so I think 3rd is a reasonable placing.

4. FB - My initial enthusiasm of the Soviet pickup has been tempered by their lack of online and LAN practice. It seems like they just aren't as committed to improving as the other top teams.

5. Carbon - They're a quality team no doubt, but I think they peaked last event on the strength of fresh chemistry. Just can't see them sustaining 2nd place and they land at 5th based on the bracket.

6. Classic - They've been fairly consistent this year and are as good as before with the acquisition of Ghost. I just don't think they're strong enough to crack top 4 again.

7. BtH - Everyone is ignoring them after one subpar event. Cloud is an amazing player and with the way DemonD played last event, they are capable of top 8.

8. HaE - A bit of redemption for Karma and Anarchy (more of a reminder that they're still good), as well as a resurgence for KillerDrew.
