Using the Clock in Capture the Flag

![]() The clock is a fickle foe. In CTF games, the clock can be used to your advantage, but it can also bite you in the behind if play becomes too conservative. The concept behind clock management is quite simple: if you’re up by a capture and time is low, don’t foolishly try for the last capture at the expense of relinquishing one. Similarly, do not sit and cower at the back of the base essentially waiting for the enemy to pounce because you hold a lead. Play smart and slightly more defensively when holding the lead, remembering that the best defense is maintaining map control and power-item control. |
