Taking Advantage of the Death Screen

You’re dead, but you’re not out. When you die in Halo 3 you can rotate 360 degrees around your corpse and use up on the directional pad to rotate your view around to your teammates, whether they are alive or dead. Couple this with the fact that in Halo 3 you can be heard over your microphone even when you are dead and it means that a dead teammate is a useful teammate.
* In slayer games you’re only out for a few seconds, make the most of them by panning all around your body and calling out anything that you see.
* In objective games you have a little more time, quickly scan around your own body and then move on to your teammates.
Use the death screen to your advantage.
In general, use your death screen to communicate. An active teammate always talks and in Halo 3 the death screen encourages communication.
