Screen Watching and Playing Split Screen

Look at my screen! You’ll hear this a lot if you play split screen with an experienced Halo veteran. In Halo 3, they have adjusted the perspective on split-screen, making it a very natural transition from full screen. For this reason, playing split screen is an advantage.
The ability to see all your teammates' actions, at all times, is an obvious advantage. You know exact details without even having to hear them. Although, just because you can see what they are doing, don’t take anything for granted. Here are some tips for playing split-screen that will help you take advantage of it's benefits:
* Still call out information. Constantly communicating with your teammates keeps everyone on the same page and in the game. A quiet team translates to a losing team, especially at the top levels.
* Check the split-screen periodically. Much like checking radar in free-for-alls, learn to constantly glance at your teammate's screen quickly, taking in valuable information without getting yourself into trouble by losing focus on what’s happening on your screen. It will become second nature, but it will only come with practice.
* Coordinate. Two players on split screen will learn to synchronize their actions and play off each other. There’s no better way to work on teamwork than to play split screen as often as possible.
