Starting spawns are set in MLG Halo 3 settings. Teams will have fairly equal initial spawn points and you will know where the other team spawns based on your own. Use this fact to form decisive starting strategies:

* Determine a role for each player starting at the spawn. This notion will ensure no confusion exists about who will complete what objective. Remember that you should account for all of the map's power weapons and power-ups in your initial setup.

* Know your opponent. Because you’ll know the opponent’s initial spawn, you should have a good idea about what they intend to do. Use this knowledge to position yourself to fight the enemy.

* Mix it up. The predictability of initial spawns makes it easy for opponents to learn your tactics. An intelligent player will always attempt new maneuvers and routes to throw off the opponent. Nowhere is this more important than initial spawns because control of the power items and strongholds is so vital.

Practicing strategies for the start of the game can be done in a custom game with just your team. Take the time to go through each map and draw up a plan, it will greatly increase your chance of winning.
