Playing over a local area network is much different than online play. Couple this with the crowds of spectators and the adrenaline rush of a tournament setting and you're liable to be a bit shaky at your first Pro Circuit Event. While the experience can never be replicated before the actual Event, there are things that you can do to prepare for a live event:

* LAN!-- Getting together with at least one other team and playing over a Local Area Network (LAN) is a standard procedure for top pro teams. Often, strategies that work online are less effective on LAN given the increased reliability of weapons due to the absence of lag. Work out the kinks and get comfortable with LAN settings and you'll find yourself beating down less-prepared teams.

* Sleep-- Don't ruin your body before the event. Tournaments require long hours and a lot of play. If you burn out before you get there you won't be able to last into the latter rounds. Every member of the team should be in tip-top shape come tourney time. Exercising a little discipline can go a long way.

* Save some money-- Remember that you need to pay for expenses while you're there. Exercising some monetary discipline in the weeks leading up to the tourney will allow you to stay fed and comfortable throughout a tournament weekend.

* Practice like it's the real thing-- Don't fool around when you're practicing for a tournament. Try to envision yourself playing with spectators watching and the other team screaming out things right across from you. A team of strong individuals will not allow external factors to effect their game.

Remember that it's still Halo; nothing but a change of scenery. If you can remember that you're playing the game you love, the energy of a live event will be positive and a source of motivation.
