Carbon, Believe the Hype, PSF Advance to Winners Round 2

Winners Bracket Round 1 of MLG Orlando is over, and the numbers "3-1" seem to be the trend. Carbon took on the 27th seeded Dynasty for the right to move into Winners Bracket Round 2. Game 1, which was Onslaught CTF, went extremely smoothly for the 2006 National Champions, as they went on to win in a quick 5-0 victory. However, Game 2 didn't turn out quite as well. In a dramatic 50-49 finish, Carbon took their only loss of the series on The Pit Team Slayer. They were then able to swing the momentum back into their favor on the next map, as they walked away with a 250-180 win. The final map of the match, Oddball Guardian, also went in Carbon's favor with a final tally of 207-186.

Directly across from Carbon was the Believe The Hype vs. Arsenal match. Much like Carbon, Believe The Hype blew through their opponents in Game 1, but then went on to lose the very next map. BtH eventually won the match with a final score of 3-1.

Across the venue was PSF (Pancake Strike Force), comprising of Gandhi, Fear, Defy, and BestMan, as they took on a team that is no stranger to the Championship Bracket, Status Quo. Once again, PSF dropped Game 2 on The Pit Team Slayer, but were eventually able to cap off the series with a 3-1 finish.
