Orlando H3 Championship Bracket Finals Game by Game Breakdown

The MLG Orlando Championship Bracket Finals played host to one of the most intense competitive gaming atmospheres we've seen thus far on the 2008 Pro Circuit. The crowd was by far the most energetic and enthusiastic group of spectators this year, and their fanaticism certainly translated onto our two finalists, Triggers Down and Str8 Rippin. Both teams had much to prove, and the caliber of gameplay that was to follow was a perfect example of that.
Since Str8 Rippin had made their way to the Finals through the Losers Bracket, and they did not meet with Triggers Down along the way, it meant that Str8 would need to defeat TD in two consecutive best-of-5 series in order to walk away with the crown.
Faruq introduced both teams to a cheering crowd.
The match was inaugurated on The Pit CTF. Str8 Rippin managed to capture the first flag, however, it proved to be more of a curse, rather than a blessing. Immediately after the capture, Hysteria brought in a counter-capture for Triggers Down to tie the game at one flag each. SnipeDown then grabbed a sniper rifle, and headed over towards the sword-building. Str8 Rippin spawned in their courtyard, allowing for SnipeDown to spawn trap them with his fortunate positioning. This let his teammates pull Str8's flag and capture it for a 2-1 lead. Str8 Rippin eventually ended up forcing the game into overtime, but were unable to capitalize as TD walked away with a 2-1 win on The Pit. Game 2 took place on Guardian; Team Slayer was the gametype. Str8 Rippin took an early lead, but the score was kept close by Triggers Down through the games entirety. SnipeDown would rack up an impressive 18 kills before the map would end. However, with the help of Tsquared's sniping, in addition to Neighbor's raw slaying, Str8 would go on to win Guardian TS 50-45.
After losing their first map of the entire tournament, Triggers Down was noticeably shaken, but determined to not let it affect their game-plan. The next map was The Pit King of the Hill. The game started off very slow for both teams, as they were only able to accumulate a total of 40 seconds after nearly the first two hill changes. Triggers Down were the first to established a significant lead, but Str8 were quick to catch up, tying the game up at 92. It was at that point that Str8 Rippin dug deep, and ran off with the lead. The map ended at 250-187 in Str8's favor.
