Mauler Basics:

* Five rounds in a clip
* In MLG Settings: one shot from close range kills; from slightly farther away, one shot and a melee will create fatal damage
* Extremely fast firing rate
* Dual-wield-able

The mauler serves as the shotgun replacement in MLG settings. With 110% damage settings it can still kill in one shot, and no other short-range weapon can compete with it. Typically when you gain control of a Mauler it’s a good time to maintain areas with close corridors and exercise patience. Communicating when enemies come near will almost guarantee a kill if you can land your Mauler shot.
