Plasma Pistol Basics
* Plasma burst tracks enemies and drains their shield completely, allowing for a BR head shot afterward to kill
* 100% battery drains down as you keep it charged
* Dual-wield-able, which enables you to throw grenades while Plasma Pistol is charged
The plasma pistol has been toned down from Halo 2, but it still tracks an enemy quickly, although it’s easier to dodge. If you can find an unsuspecting foe, or come out from behind a wall and fire a shot quickly, the enemy won’t have time to dodge it. After you land a plasma shot, simply switch to your Battle Rifle or Carbine and finish them off with a single head shot. Landing a plasma shot and then a melee also kills.

Although toned down in Halo 3, the Plasma Pistol remains an effective weapon.
