Held at the Meadowlands, the 2006 season kicked off with high expectations all around. Final Boss (previously Team 3D), the famous quartet of Saiyan, Walshy, OGRE 1 and OGRE 2, continued their dominance of the Halo 2 world with another tournament win, sweeping Str8 Rippin in the Finals. MLG Smash fans were stunned when PC Chris, 3rd place finisher at the 2005 National Championships, not only defeated Chu Dat’s creative Ice Climbers, but knocked Ken off the podium as well, winning first place for the first time at an MLG event.
