Str8 Rippin is currently the 5th ranked Halo2 team at MLG. The team consists of Tsquared, Snipedown, Legit, ElamiteWarrior and their coach Lammie. Placing 5th at Charlotte in 2007 with a team of Tsquared, Foulacy, Legit and Naded matters became complicated after the tournament as Naded and Legit made the decision to split from the team shortly before the Meadowlands tournament. Desperate to fill the hole left by those two players, Str8 picked up Neighbor and Bigtimer. The team ended up with an 11th place finish, losing to 5K and Nice Like Rice. Needing a change, Str8 Rippin sought the experience and skill of two league veterans in Havok and Mimic. Placing 7th and losing only to Final Boss and Perfect Storm in a close 5 game series, Str8 was looking to move up in the standings and secure a place in the Nationals. Shortly afterwards recently dropped players ElamiteWarrior and Legit joined up with Tsquared and Neighbor. With an amazing run at Chicago, including a 3-0 defeat of Carbon in Winner's Bracket round 3 and a 6-3 overall defeat of rivals FBI The Agency, they finished 2nd place losing to Final Boss in both the Winners and Losers Bracket. They went on to win Orlando and come 2rd at the Nationals.

Starting Halo 3 with the same roster as they ended Halo 2 with, although with a new coach in xXx, Str8 Rippin secured first seed for the first MLG Halo 3 event in an online ladder. Despite their seed they finished a disappointing 5th. At the next event, San Diego, they managed to win the tournament. A month later at Orlando they took 2nd place. After Orlando FB, who had been having team problems, went into talks with both ElamiteWarrior and Neighbor. After some indecision Neighbor left the squad. Str8 Rippin went on to pick up Snipedown off of Triggers Down and take back their old coach, Lammie. Str8 Rippin went on to win the next tournament in Toronto.

[edit] History

The team name was created by founding members Fonzi and Foulacy. The name was chosen because they had both played the pirated French version of Halo 2. Because of this early start, they felt that "Str8 into Rippin" would be an appropriate name for their clan.
